Title: Second Reading Ordinance - Approving grant award and appropriation of funds for the Texas Medicaid Managed Care Initiative 1115 Waiver - Obesity Project (1st Reading 12/9/14) (Requires 2/3 vote) Ordinance authorizing the advance of up to $885,000 from the No.1020 General Fund to the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (TX HHSC) and in turn the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for the City's local match for City projects under the Corpus Christi -Nueces County Public Health District's (CCNCPHD) 1115 Transformation Waiver; funds to be repaid from the CMS within 2 months of the advance for the City's local match; Additionally,authorizing the City Manager, or his designee,to execute all documents necessary to accept and appropriate the award fund upon receipt in the amount of approximately $885,000 from CMS and the TXHHSC to implement a program to reduce and prevent obesity in children and adolescents for the period of October 1,2014 through September 30,20...
